The people have chosen their Rocket Station Olympic Champions!

October 22, 2021 – The Rocket Station Olympics, a 3-month long event for Rocketeers to exercise, be fit, and be part of a community online has finally come to a steady close with Rocketeers and Non-Rocketeers alike gathering to dance, work out, shoot hoops and jump rope as one.

This event began in the rainy months of August through the eventful month of September through October. In August, we had registered around 400 Rocket Station Olympians and come September we gathered roughly more than 50 videos in participation of this amazing event.

The mechanics were simple; choose you category, record yourself on video doing your chosen activity and submit the videos to be posted on Rocket Station’s Official TikTok Channel for voting and judging. Each winner will receive cash prizes worth PHP 5,000, PHP3,000 and PHP 1,000 for Gold, Silver and Bronze, respectively!

After garnering 2496 votes, we the people have decided on their Rocket Station Olympians!

Rocket Station at Year 3: Celebrating Great Milestones

Oct 1, 2021 – The definitive foundation day of the remote process company that promises to enhance lives and deliver better business: Rocket Station.

A few years ago, Rocket Station was established at the helm by CEO Robert Nickell and a handful of amazing virtual assistants and remote process industry leaders. Their goal was to upscale businesses in ways that would make equitable, sustainable, and efficient remote work processes available for US clients.

That small group of individuals grew to a grand total of 1000 career driven and well-seasoned professionals to date.

Rocket Station has become an industry leading business process outsourcing company in the Philippines. Among the many accomplishments that were achieved in their 3rd Year is being certified as a Great Place to Work® in 2021. This proves that Rocket Station can maintain and develop a positive work culture despite the exponential growth it has been experiencing in such a short amount of time.

With a larger family comes bigger issues too, so an emphasis on the importance of Mental Health and inclusivity has also been one of the milestones of Rocket Station. In their third year, they established the Rocketeer HOPELine; this HOPELine is a confidential and anonymous well-being service open to every Rocketeer who wishes to speak to a specialist on mental health and well-being.

As far as diversity and inclusivity is involved, Rocket Station also hosted an in-depth and meaningful talk on the LGTBQAI+ community in the workplace in a fun and meaningful live panel discussion entitled Our Proud Space.

In congruence with these efforts, other more engaging pursuits became part of Rocket Station’s focus; as where mental health was important, so was physical health. Rocket Station developed programs to help Rocketeers stay fit during the pandemic and achieve their fitness goals too. Events such as the Rocket Station Virtual Race and Duathlon as well as the ongoing Rocket Station Olympics are testament to the dedication Rocket Station has in keeping Rocketeers healthy in mind and body.

Rocket Station Moves for Better Mental Health for Remote Workers

May 26, 2021 – This Mental Health Awareness month, Rocket Station launched its carefully planned internal HOPELine program. The project was established to help remote workers cope with the various challenging mental and emotional experiences that they encounter throughout their workdays. The initiative for the project came from the spirit of Rocket Station’s goal of making sure that team members are healthy and happy in all facets of their lives.

HOPELine was made accessible to all Rocketeer Virtual Assistants and Support team members. Rocket Station personnel who need help are asked to fill out virtual forms in order to book an appointment with a HOPELine Wellness Coach. This process allows for the anonymity of the identity of those who wish to ask for assistance. Coaches are made available from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Philippine time. The flexibility of the coaching hours allows Rocket Station remote workers to have access to world-class aid as fast and as much as possible. The program promises and delivers confidentiality of the information shared within these sessions. This carefully planned booking system was created to minimize anxiousness and hesitancy during the booking process, thereby maximizing the number of people helped.

The program also has more avenues of help should the need arise. HOPELine Wellness Coaches are allowed to direct Rocketeers to expert Wellness Counselors if the issue is deemed urgent. Tele-counseling is given to those experiencing serious mental health difficulties for further and more detailed care. Authorization to take paid time offs is also given for extreme circumstances.

Rocket Station is devoting further efforts to ensuring a healthy workplace for Rocketeers. This assistance comes during trying times of isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The creation of the program is to ensure remote workers who primarily socialize through online chats and meetings are not abandoned when it comes to their mental and emotional needs. Rocket Station stands behind those who are suffering from medical conditions not always seen by the human eye. We hope to contribute to a world where there is an open conversation about the mental wellbeing of people and help is readily available.

Rocket Station Celebrates Pride Month Through Our Proud Space

June 25, 2021 – In celebration of Pride, Rocket Station conducted its special live stream program, Our Proud Space. The project was created as a platform for members and supporters of the LGBTQ+ community to share their thoughts and experiences. Our Proud Space also highlighted courageous stories and triumphs that have allowed for further inclusivity in the workplace.

The program was hosted by Rocket Station’s Director of Operations, Romil Hombrebueno. It also invited multiple panelists to share their opinions on the show. This included Rocket Station HOPELine coach Bea Hombrebueno and HOPELine counselor Ronald Recio, RPsy. Rocketeers from the LGBTQ+ community were also invited for their internal insight. These were Tippy Destacamento, a gay Virtual Lead Manager who is also an accomplished makeup artist, Sam Santos, a gay Recruitment Lead with expertise on bilingual assistants, and Kaey Soluta, a trans Operations Manager who handles one of Rocket Station’s largest clients. The accomplishments of these proud Rocketeers show how capable our friends from the LGBTQ+ community are when given equal opportunities to spread their wings.

Our Proud Space tackled several relevant topics such as workplace inclusivity, challenges of being from the LGBTQ+ community, giving proper support, and finding self-acceptance. Each of the panelists gave their ideas on the topics and shared personal experiences from their previous encounters.

The talk regarding workplace inclusivity tackled equal work opportunities for all, opinions being heard, and respecting the identities of co-workers. Challenges in the workforce were highlighted as well, such as preconceptions about the community, different forms of discrimination, and an overall lack of understanding about gender identity. Panelist Sam Santos also shared their own personal story of being discriminated against while they were finding a job in a different company.

To call for further action against these pressing issues, Our Proud Space went ahead to explore the different forms of support one can give to make a difference. Key things to remember were to be open-minded and hearted, being respectful of privacy, being mindful of pronouns, and being honest about your stand with the LGBTQ+ community. This support also comes in the form of being an ally to those who have not yet come out, and by supporting those who are going through the journey of self-acceptance.

Rocket Station believes in the importance of equality in and out of the workplace. We will continue to build our advocacy for inclusivity and fair treatment of our friends and family from the LGBTQ+ community. Our Proud Space is just one of the many steps we’re taking in creating a safe and friendly environment for people from all walks of life.

August 10, 2021 – In the rainy months of the pandemic, Rocket Station in all its busyness decided to pivot its attention to a new milestone in determining whether they had positive work culture or not, and lo and behold, there was Great Place to Work Asia.

Great Place to Work is a globally recognized certification that scores companies using their trusted and widely recognized survey platform. If companies score high in their trust index, they are awarded a Great Place To Work Certification, which, in turn proves that a company is indeed a Great Place to Work.

Rocket Station garnered a 94% score, which scored higher than other global companies:

At 96% we make newly onboarded Rocketeers feel welcome. It’s no surprise that this is one of the top scores and statements. Each time a Rocketeer joins the team, they’re given a company wide introduction and warm well wishes, as well as a new hire care package sent to their very doorstep.

At 95% we push Rocketeers to attain a good work-life balance. Our paid time off comes at a very established point to this high-ranking score. We always make sure that Rocketeers have good work-life boundaries and allow them ample time to rest if need be.

There are leaders, not bosses with a 94% score about management being approachable and both competent at running the business. We have on deck well-seasoned, experienced, and personable people in leadership positions who take their role of leading people and molding future leaders very seriously.

Jul 15, 2021– Rocket Station finishes its first Virtual Race with a bang. The Virtual Race began last June 15, 2021, and was originally set to begin on April 1st, with registrations starting in March. However, the race was pushed back several times due to the tightening restrictions from the Covid – 19 pandemic. But as the surge slowly died down in the 1st quarter of 2021, finally, the race was off to an official start again, and despite the setbacks, the event was an astounding success, with both Rocketeers and non-Rocketeers participating worldwide.

The Rocket Station Virtual Race was part of Rocket Station’s initiative to keep people healthy and happy despite the lockdowns and other restrictions happening around the world. It was also a way to foster new relationships and to grow the community despite the challenges that everyone is currently facing. This falls in line with Rocket Station’s mission to enhance lives and shows that this is true not only for its employees but also for their friends and family.

Racers were asked to post their progress on social media for tracking and to inspire their fellow runners and bikers. The Virtual Race was divided into multiple categories and levels with different set targets to allow participants from multiple experiences and time zones to join. The distances people tracked were also cumulative to offer more flexibility to the racers. This particular setup allowed people of all ages to participate, with some families joining with their children.

The Virtual Fun Run category had a goal of 10 kilometers for those who join under the Starter level, 20 kilometers for the Intermediate level, and 50 kilometers for the Advance level.

The Virtual Duathlon category, which is a combination of both running and biking, had set goals of 5 kilometers on foot, followed by 20 kilometers by bike, and another 3-kilometer run for the Starter level. The Intermediate level pushes these numbers to a 10-kilometer run, a 40-kilometer bike ride, and a final 5-kilometer run.

Lastly, the Bike Only category had a target of 20 kilometers for those in the Starter level, 40 kilometers for those in the Intermediate level, and 60 kilometers for participants in the Advanced level.

Many photos were posted with captions showing excitement over their progress and drew encouragement from the community in the comments and reactions. Through this, we had discovered all the innovative ways the race’s participants used for their runs; such as using treadmills for people who were confined to their homes and utilizing rollerblades to achieve their target distance. Rocket Station’s Virtual Race also became a way for families and friends to bond together while also working to protect their physical wellbeing.

Those who joined the race received free shirts to use on their runs. As a way to boost camaraderie and healthy goal setting, Rocket Station also rewarded the most active racers by recognizing them through social media. Racers of the Week were chosen such as experienced athlete Daniel Yamio, who at the ripe age of 63 is still a major competitor in other long-distance sporting events, Cherry Millena, also known as Pie Chan, a non- Rocketeer trail runner who was recognized for their progress and Nina Sta. Ana, an active racer and inspiring Rocket Station house-name and leader. These actions clearly left a good impression as a big number of racers gave Rocket Station thanks for the management of the event and left with happier hearts and healthier mindsets.

This is the first time Rocket Station has hosted a virtual race and it led to great success in pursuing its vision and mission to further change lives for the better. These times of uncertainty are when we at Rocket Station believe it is our responsibility to work harder.

2018-2020: After two years Rocket Station celebrates its second year of operation. The tasks, the excitement, and the results have brought Rocket Station to where it is today and we are proud of it all. The video is a compilation of the events taking place during the years.

Rocket Station launched in 2018. On the journey during 2019, multitude of our client’s dreams for better business efficiency with added cost-effectiveness were conquered and fulfilled. Rocket Station celebrated this achievement while appreciating the extraordinary efforts of its teams.

Founder of Rocket Station, Rob Nickell expressed his gratitude towards our Rocketeers for the success the company has been running on, “ | cannot thank you enough for what you do every single day. I keep saying it but this is because of you!”

Feb 14, 2021 – Today, Rocket Station commemorates the love and relationships of our Rocketeers and their partners. A video montage of fellow Rocketeers enthusiastically showcases old photos of how their love endured the test of time. Now and then snapshots on how their love story started and how it is currently going are the apparent theme that is depicted throughout.

As witnessed some of our Rocketeers have shared how they started a deep connection as early as 2013 and have lasted up till now in 2021 with Rocket Station by their side towards the recent. For others, they shared 9 years of friendship and 4 years of being together. Families have been made, family sizes have increased in number, smiles have grown bigger, weddings have taken place and travel was accomplished.

As seen on the captions of one of our Rocketeers posts “Love always wins”. This stands in line with Rocket Station’s motto on Valentine’s day “whether near or far, we are close at heart at Rocket Station”. We at Rocket Station are connected by threads manufactured at Rocket Station Factory. The Threads connect us as a network of professionals, as a Rocket Station Family, As a Family at Home, As a family of Friends, As a family of lovers, as a family of VA service providers.

Virtual, Dec 19, 2020 – On this day, Rocket Station held a live event, virtually to honor and pay homage to those Rocketeers that have been a catalyst for change, to those we consider the trailblazers of our company, and to those who are our leaders of tomorrow. This event celebrates our Rocketeers who stand as a beacon of excellence as they launched the company further to new heights. This is Rocket Station’s first Rocket Station Awards.

To recap the activity for the past year of 2020, Director of Philippines Operations Romil Hombrebueno illustrates how Rocket Station’s team members have consistently shown how strong they were even before the Covid-19 outbreak. He explained when the TAAL volcano hit us in January, earlier this year, as a unity and as a team our Rocketeers took the initiative to give back to our community and did what they could to aid in the situation through the TAAL mask distribution.

The year has been challenging for Rocket Station when the pandemic hit earlier this year but we managed to power through it. Here are some additional yet notable and successful events Romil mentions:

The Awards opened with CEO, Rob Nickellis congratulatory speech to us Rocketeers ” Kamusta Rocketeers, wow what a year 2020 has been! When asked to describe the last several months most people use words like chaos, disruption, fear but when I think about 2020, when I look back at the last several months there’s really only one word, one emotion that I feel and that is immense PRIDE! You see I define heroes as someone who creates order and leadership in times of chaos and to me that defines YOU, as a Rocketeer! This has been the most amazing year ever from over 99 percent of attendance as an organization to hundreds of 5-star reviews praising your performances, thousands and thousands of dollars giving and bonuses throughout the year is a result of YOUR EFFORT and YOUR WORK! Looking forward, the feelings I have for 2021 are excitement, hope, and pride. When we ask you to join Rocket Station we ask of your only three things:

To do the right thing

Exceed expectations in your performance in everything that you do

And finally to have fun while you’re doing it.

You not only exceeded expectations but you did it with a smile on your face. On behalf of the entire executive team, Thank you for an amazing year!”

Now, first up, The Excellence Award for Attendance that is presented to us by our Process Developer Kazel Dela Cruz and our Training Developer Jata Valte. November 13, 2020 – Rocket Station organized its very first writing competition. Three winners have been hand picked and received over 40,000 pesos in cash prizes.

The contest was to write a blog article with a strong headline, captivating opening, clear writing, and compelling calls to action that will encourage potential clients to use Rocket Station services.

The contestants followed these Rules:

Blog – Minimum of 1000 words and Maximum of 2000 words using the following keywords. Choosing one primary keyword and three secondary keywords.
