Fast paced, behind the scenes, and highly innovative, the Creatives and Marketing team is responsible for building Rocket Station’s identity and voice while cascading it effectively to the world and providing creative support to other Rocketeers. This team is filled with quick-witted, artistically gifted, and self-directed individuals with adept skills in their related field whether it be in video editing, copywriting, graphic design, web development or social media strategy.

COPYWRITER (US FACING)

CREATIVES & MARKETING

KEY ROLE

The Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling and engaging content, including blog posts for the Rocket Station website, social media, blog entries, brand pages, product pages, and other channels associated with RS. S/he aims to add value by actively engaging customers/stakeholders and maintaining a cohesive brand voice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Responsibilities in RS: Social Media Copies, Company Announcements, Email Copies, Creatives Request

Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials

Ensure content is innovative, on-brand, and consistent with the project’s communication strategy

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and creative teams from concept development to delivery of a final product

Research and understand the company’s branding needs with target audiences

Prepare content for posting across other different platforms and ensure everything in the content follow platform guidelines respectively

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communication or marketing

Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels

Exceptional skill in social media writing, including the use of hashtags, keywords, and relevant acronyms

Proficiency with common office software (Word, Excel/Spreadsheets, and others)

Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing

Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

KEY ROLE

A Communications Specialist will answer directly to the Project Manager and is responsible for assisting with writing and communication projects and tasks within an organization. They are responsible for planning and implementing communication strategies, and editing and proofreading communication materials and texts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Host  roadshows to educate team members on process guidelines and implementation

Writing and editing campaign initiatives, engagement announcements, and messaging.

Writing letters to Rocketeers through newsletters and other media content weekly.

Working with the copywriter to develop and edit content for submission

Creation, development, and updating of messaging materials as part of the creatives team

Organization of speakers and written communication for events and projects

Aids in the recruitment of new voices, education, and training of people speaking and writing on behalf of our organization

Partnership with outreach staff members on supporting events and speakers.

Prepare content/materials for external meetings and speaking engagements (i.e., research briefings, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, talking points, etc.).

Develop and maintain relationships with team members

Support campaign messaging efforts through social media, website, and digital communications as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field.

At least 1-year experience in writing and preparing communication materials

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated skill in proactively building relationships with team members and in successfully positioning issues with the media to achieve high-impact placements.

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to listen well and positively represent the organization and its mission

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a large team

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Skills in design software, blogging software, and social media platforms are preferred.

KEY ROLE

A full-time Graphic Designer that is well versed in developing visuals for social media, email marketing, and event collaterals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Create Marketing Collaterals for both social media and events.

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.

Plans concept by studying information and materials.

Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.

Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; purchasing from vendors.

Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.

Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Fine Arts, Design, Advertising/Media, Creative Multimedia or its equivalent.

Proven graphic designing experience.

Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual or visual ability and originality.

Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.

Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies (Adobe Creative Suite).

Good video editing skills.

KEY ROLE

The Sr. Graphic Designer creates visual concepts to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. Their main responsibility is to visualize and create multimedia graphics including illustrations, logos, various layouts and photos that are on-brand for Rocket Station.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shape and create the visual aspects of websites, books, blog posts, job ads, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more.

Advise or meet clients/teammates on graphic design and brand development.

Study design briefs, determine requirements and conceptualize visuals based on requirements Work with copywriters and the creative manager to produce final design

Create images that identify a product or convey a message.

Prepare rough design drafts and present ideas to clients or to the creative manager

Incorporate changes recommended by the clients/creative manager into the final design and to amend designs after feedback.

Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic

Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

QUALIFICATIONS

At least 2 years graphic designing and brand vision experience

Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality

Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio.

Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas.

Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
