KEY ROLE

The Director of Technology & Systems is responsible for driving the strategic direction, governance, and execution of technology initiatives across Rocket Station and RCi. This role ensures the alignment of technology infrastructure, system compliance, cybersecurity, and process efficiency with the company’s operational and business objectives.

The Director oversees two key departments:

  • Systems and Process Compliance, which focuses on risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Technology Integration, which leads IT development, research, and cybersecurity initiatives.

This role is instrumental in ensuring technology, security, and compliance strategies are integrated effectively across all functions and that Rocket Station maintains a future-proof, scalable, and secure technological environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Strategy & Governance:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives, growth strategies, and security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and data privacy regulations through structured IT governance.
  • Establish technology policies, standards, and best practices to optimize operational performance and security.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, IT procurement, and technology investments to drive cost-effective innovation.

Systems and Process Compliance Oversight:

  • Supervise the Head of Systems and Process Compliance, ensuring compliance with internal audits, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure process standardization, operational documentation, and quality management systems are effectively maintained.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with HR, Operations, and Finance to ensure efficient system integration and process compliance.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance data integrity, access management, and business continuity planning.

Technology Integration & Innovation:

  • Oversee the Head of Technology Integration, ensuring the seamless development and adoption of IT solutions.
  • Lead IT development, cybersecurity, system research, and implementation of new digital tools that improve efficiency.
  • Foster innovation in automation, AI-driven technology, and cloud infrastructure optimization.
  • Ensure scalability of IT systems and operational adaptability to support company expansion.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management:

  • Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols to protect company and client data.
  • Ensure compliance with global security frameworks and industry best practices for data protection.
  • Lead incident response planning, risk mitigation strategies, and security audits.
  • Collaborate with the Systems and Compliance team to strengthen data governance policies.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Act as the key liaison between executive leadership, operations, and IT teams to align technology with business goals.
  • Provide strategic leadership to department heads, managers, and IT teams to ensure a cohesive tech strategy.
  • Drive employee training initiatives to improve system adoption, cybersecurity awareness, and compliance practices.
  • Work closely with finance and procurement to ensure cost efficiency in IT projects and software acquisitions.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Define and track KPIs for IT operations, compliance effectiveness, and system performance.
  • Present monthly reports on technology advancements, security incidents, and process enhancements to executive leadership.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to drive continuous improvement in IT efficiency, compliance, and security.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Technology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in IT leadership, systems governance, and enterprise technology strategy.
  • Strong background in ISO compliance, cybersecurity, and IT process optimization.
  • Expertise in risk assessment, IT governance frameworks, and digital transformation.
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional IT teams, system integration, and automation initiatives.

KEY ROLE

The Head of Technology Integration leads the research, development, and implementation of IT systems, cybersecurity measures, and technology adoption strategies within the organization. This role ensures that internal IT processes are optimized, innovative solutions are identified, and technology infrastructures support business growth. The Head of Technology Integration manages the IT Development Manager and the Technology Support Manager, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal departments and external technology vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation:

  • Develop and execute a technology integration roadmap, aligning with business goals and operational needs.
  • Ensure that emerging technologies, automation tools, and software solutions support business scalability.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new IT systems, software solutions, and cybersecurity protocols.

IT Research & Development:

  • Oversee internal IT research & development projects, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
  • Lead innovation efforts for internal software tools, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure that data privacy, security, and compliance measures are embedded in all system developments.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management:

  • Develop and maintain cybersecurity frameworks that align with ISO 27001 standards and industry best practices.
  • Oversee penetration testing, risk assessments, and system vulnerability management.
  • Work closely with the Systems Security Manager to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Supplier & Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage third-party vendors, technology suppliers, and software providers.
  • Ensure cost-effective and scalable technology solutions are implemented across departments.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring that service level agreements (SLAs) and security protocols are met.

Department Oversight & Team Leadership:

  • Supervise the IT Development Manager and Technology Support Manager, ensuring departmental objectives align with company goals.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to department leaders in software development, cybersecurity, and IT support.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline IT adoption and improve technology-driven efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Act as the bridge between IT, Operations, HR, Finance, and other departments, ensuring seamless integration of technology solutions.
  • Partner with leadership teams to identify business challenges and develop IT-driven solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure consistent implementation of IT policies and best practices.
  • Familiarity and compliance with QISMS Standards (ISO 9001 and ISO 27001) for Rocket Station

Project Management & Execution:

  • Develop IT implementation roadmaps, project timelines, and execution plans.
  • Ensure that all IT-related projects adhere to budget constraints and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring deliverables are met within scope, time, and quality expectations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT development, cybersecurity, system integration, or technology adoption.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and IT governance policies.
  • Proven experience in software development, IT infrastructure, and vendor management.

KEY ROLE

The Web Developer develops and maintains responsive websites and applications from layout to function to ensure a seamless user experience. S/he collaborates with clients and relevant stakeholders to meet project, technical requirements, and business objectives.   


Responsibilities include writing high-quality, testable code, integrating back-end data, troubleshooting issues, and staying updated on industry trends. The Web Developer needs to conduct code reviews and align the project with branding guidelines when required. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain responsive websites and web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience across various devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with the client while working under the direction of relevant stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases to enhance website functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website and application issues, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to operations and activities.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Work with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to align web development projects with organizational goals and branding guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and information security protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years Web development experience
  • Proven experience as a Web Developer, with a strong portfolio of previous web development projects.
  • Proficiency in front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks
  • Familiarity with back-end development and databases
  • Knowledge of web security principles, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, time-management skills, and a team player. 
  • Strong comprehension and can articulate both technical and non-technical concepts clearly, to ensure effective collaboration with the client and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to contribute to the company’s innovation campaigns.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
  • This role may require occasional after-hours work or weekend work to meet project deadlines.


SKILLS

  • Proficiency in Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with JavaScript frameworks 
  • Back-End Development: Experience with at least two server-side programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby) and databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Web Development Tools: Proficiency in development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Git, and browser developer tools.
  • Responsive Design: Ability to create and maintain responsive web designs that provide a consistent user experience across all devices.
