December 18, 2021 – Rocket Station concluded its second season of Rocketeers Got Talent after one month of fantastic performances from our very own Rocketeers. The grand winners of the heated contest were announced during the Rocket Station Awards 2021. The event was once again held virtually following the success of last year’s online competition.
This year’s contest had two phases, the audition stage, and the competition stage. The 10 best audition entries were carefully selected by a panel of judges picked from within the Rocket Station team. This year’s Top 10 gained the interest of the judges due to both their mastery and the uniqueness of their abilities.
These finalists were Jiro Lorenzo Directo, Kathrina Ramos, Arne Osabel, Mark Anthony Bayhon, Frances Ellaine Caeg, Gerald Collantes, Arvil Kurt Jacob Medenilla, Dexter Arbas, John Christian Cano, and Mc Jed Domingo.
The competition stage involved the audience by giving them the power to decide the winners. Videos were uploaded on Rocket Station’s official YouTube channel and voting was done through likes on the contestants’ entries. The Top 5 in the final tally of votes on December 15, 2021 received 5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, and 25,000 pesos respectively.
It was a close battle that drew awe and wonder from the viewers with supportive comments filling all of the videos for the event. While all performances were outstanding in both their production and show of skill, only one finalist can claim to be the victor.
In 5th place is Kathrina Ramos with her rendition of Saving All My Love For You by Whitney Houston getting 9.4% of the votes.
4th place was taken by Frances Ellaine Caeg taking 14.13% of the votes as she surprised everyone by singing her original song Till End Of Time.
Coming in at 3rd place is Mark Anthony Bayhon with 19.91% of the votes as he sang his own version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
At 2nd place is Mc Jed Domingo earning an impressive 20.5% of the votes. He performed Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka by Morisette Amon and wowed people by creating his own music video.
Finally, getting this year’s Rocketeers Got Talent crown is Arne Osabel getting 25.81% of the votes. It was a tight battle but his powerful performance of Go The Distance was able to edge him the win
Overall, Rocketeers Got Talent Season 2 was an overwhelming success. The videos for the event got over 26,000 views as of writing and are continuing to grow. It just shows how dynamic and talented our Rocketeers truly are!
