Why do we want to get certified?

We aim to achieve ISO certification to solidify our position as a legitimate and trusted company, committed to excellence in all aspects of our operations. This certification reflects our dedication to doing the right thing by implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to exceed client expectations, safeguard sensitive information, and continuously improve our processes. By aligning with globally recognized standards, we demonstrate our focus on accountability, reliability, and delivering unparalleled value to our clients and stakeholders.

The Start of Our Journey

Our journey towards ISO certification began last June 2024 with a pivotal announcement from the Director of Philippine Operations and the CEO, emphasizing the company’s commitment to achieving global standards through ISO compliance. This marked the starting point of a comprehensive transformation. An initial gap assessment revealed a promising 50% compliance with both the Quality Management System (QMS) and Information Security Management System (ISMS), highlighting our strong foundation while identifying areas for improvement. To build momentum, we conducted awareness sessions for ISO Champions across all departments, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to drive this initiative forward. This collective effort set the stage for a unified pursuit of excellence and continuous improvement.

Policy Development: The cornerstone of our journey was drafting a comprehensive Quality and Information Security Policy. This document encapsulates our commitment to excellence and security, serving as a guiding principle for every Rocketeer.

Training and Awareness: Ensuring all team members understood the importance of these certifications was critical. We conducted company-wide training sessions to build awareness and foster a culture of quality and security.

Process Refinement: From client onboarding to data management, every process underwent meticulous review and enhancement to align with ISO standards.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: With ISO 27001’s emphasis on information security, we conducted detailed risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implemented robust controls to address them.

Internal Audits: Before external audits, our internal team conducted comprehensive reviews to ensure compliance and readiness.

Challenges Along the Way

Achieving ISO certification was not without its challenges. Ensuring compliance across incredibly diverse departments required focus, collaboration, diligence, and a commitment to continuous improvement. However, we as a community united to turn these challenges into opportunities. Our experience highlighted and strengthened our resolve and showed us areas where we could continue to innovate and grow.

We strive to meet and exceed client expectations by maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that fosters consistency, efficiency, and continual improvement across all processes. Simultaneously, we uphold the highest standards of information security through our Information Security Management System (ISMS), safeguarding sensitive data and mitigating risks. This policy serves as the cornerstone of our dedication to operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and the trust of our clients and stakeholders.

Opting for the ISO Certification

Looking ahead, we are poised to take the final steps in our ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001:2022 certification journey. With all action items from the internal audit successfully completed, we have demonstrated our commitment to addressing gaps and strengthening our systems. The pre-assessment audit served as a crucial verification of our readiness, ensuring that the improvements from the internal audit meet the rigorous standards of ISO. 

Finally, we look forward to the scheduled certification audit on December 16 and 17, 2024, confident in our preparations and the dedication of our ISO Core Team, the ISO Champions, and Heads from the respective departments to achieve this milestone. This will mark a significant step in our growth and commitment to excellence.
